How to be a Grandmother Fairy Like Me ©
Most every little girl is a fairy, for at least some period of time, in her childhood. Along the way something begins to happen. The wings fade away; the sparkly shoes and wand disappear. The starry eyes turn dull and the long, flowing, fluffy dress melts away. There are no more flowers and ribbons in her curly hair. This sounds like a very sad thing to me, so…….I DECIDED TO BECOME A GRANDMOTHER FAIRY!
The first thing you need to be a Grandmother Fairy is the dress. It must be a long dress; preferably pink, but yellow, blue, or green will do if the color is soft. Soft is very important! Of course the dress has to be flowing and fluffy; this is not optional.
Now the shoes should match the dress. If the dress is pink; the shoes need to be pink. There is one more thing special about the shoes though…they must sparkle! Shiny, sparkly shoes is a must; glitter and sequins all over them.
Blonde hair is ideal for a fairy, but I’ve known many a fairy with brown, red, and even black hair. Since I’m a Grandmother Fairy, I had to go with gray hair; but it will work just fine I’m sure. Now the next part may be a little harder. A fairy should have curly hair, but again, you may just have to go with what you’ve got. Add lots of ribbons, bows, flowers and butterflies and no one will ever notice anyway!
A fairy wand is a magical thing. It makes everything bad and ugly turn good and beautiful. You may have to search for a while for such a magical thing. If you can find a pink and sparkly wand, all the better. It’s more important to make sure you find a most magical wand though; you have a lot of work to do with it to make the world a better place.
Starry eyes are very important to a Grandmother Fairy. Your eyes need to show the love and kindness that lives in your heart; not the pain and heartache that are so common in life.
Okay, you are about ready. Close your eyes and you can feel them start growing…your fairy wings! This is the most important step to becoming a Grandmother Fairy like me.
You don’t have a long, flowing pink dress? No pink shoes, ribbons and bows? No flowers and butterflies, you say? No fairy wand and starry eyes?
That’s okay; don’t worry! All you really, really need is a HUGE imagination to be a Grandmother Fairy like me! AND SHARE IT WITH YOUR GRANDCHILDREN!
